LVC Honors Newest Lifetime Vickroy Associate Members

Lebanon Valley College honored its newest Lifetime Vickroy Associates members at its annual Thomas Rhys Vickroy Society dinner on Friday, April 11, at the Hershey Lodge. Over 200 alumni and friends attended.
Through their generous contributions to The Valley Fund, scholarships, academics, athletics, and more, this extraordinary group is committed to student support and success through their philanthropy.
This year’s Lifetime Vickroy Honorees were Donna Gladhill Winch ’72; Michael E. Morrison ’71 and Karen A. Morrison; Dr. Glenn A. Moser ’65 and Mary Ellen Moser; Joseph F. Rilatt ’91, P’24 and Susan M. Rilatt ’90, P’24; Kimberly E. Ritrievi and Darryn V. Tilden; and John J. Wagner ’77 and Jeaninne M. Wagner ’79.
Named after the College’s founding president, Thomas Rhys Vickroy, The Vickroy Society recognizes gifts of $1,000 and above given to the College by alumni, parents, and friends for any purpose during each academic year. Members of the Vickroy Society, including 409 donor households, generously provided more than $4.6 million in financial resources during the past academic year. These gifts sustain the mission of the College by providing resources to prepare our graduates for lives of learning, citizenship, and success. An integral part of the College seal, the laurel wreath is the symbol of the Vickroy Society. Lifetime Vickroy Associates are members of The Thomas Rhys Vickroy Society whose cumulative contributions to Lebanon Valley College total $100,000 or more during their lifetime, demonstrating outstanding leadership support of the College.
New Lifetime Vickroy Associates
Donna Gladhill Winch ’72
Donna Winch parlayed her LVC Music Education degree and a Penn State University certificate into a successful teaching career in the Dover Area School District and Susquehanna Township School District, where she taught Vocal Music for over 30 years.
She remains firmly connected to The Valley through frequent gatherings of the “LVC Lunch Bunch,” a group of 20-25 Music alumni and participants from the Classes of 1971–1975 who have met several times each year for decades.
This loyalty to her alma mater extends to her generosity. Winch established The Donna Gladhill Winch ’72 Endowed Scholarship and The Donna Gladhill Winch ’72 Annual Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to Music Education or Physical Therapy majors with good character and financial need. She is a major contributor to the Blair Music Center through construction improvements, including technology enhancements.
Winch and her late husband, Walter L. Winch, have two children, Ashley and Tyler Winch and two grandchildren, Camden and Sloane.
Michael E. Morrison ’71 and Karen A. Morrison
Michael Morrison ’71 was one of three brothers, Laurence ’70 and William ’73, who graduated from The Valley. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Biology from LVC, Mike worked as a Cancer Research Technician at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He combined his passion for science and business, embarking on a 35+-year career in medical marketing, retiring in 2009 as Director of Marketing for Abbott Laboratories.
Michael was a four-year letterman as a defensive back on the Dutchmen Football squad, a Kalo brother, and a Track & Field Team member. He and his wife, Karen, have two sons and love to travel globally from their home in Overland Park, Kansas.
The Morrisons have strongly supported The Morrison/Hamelehle Scholarship Fund for science majors. The scholarship was established at LVC by their cousin, Katherine Hamelehle, in 1997 in honor of Michael’s older brother, Laurence “Larry” Morrison ’70, who died in 1983 at age 34 due to complications from Cystic Fibrosis.
They have supported the College’s Nursing Education Facility, the Arnold Health Professions Building, and the annual Blue and White Golf Classic, which benefits Flying Dutchmen Athletics.
Dr. Glenn A. Moser ’65 and Mary Ellen Moser
Dr. Glenn Moser earned his LVC B.S. degree in Chemistry and a thesis master’s degree in Chemistry from Bucknell University. He did predoctoral work at the Technische Hochschule in Munich and received a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from UMASS. He then enjoyed two postdoctoral assignments: one at Oxford University and the second at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Moser accepted a research position at Hercules Inc. in Wilmington, Del. When Eastman Chemical Co. purchased part of the Hercules business, he moved to Tennessee to continue his career before retiring in 2004. Moser finished his career studying and modifying rosin, fatty acids, and terpenes, enabling the development of products that served multiple industries.
At his alma mater, Mary Ellen and Glenn established the Dr. Glenn A. Moser ’65 Chemistry Research Fund in 1999 to help fund student and faculty research and bring scientists to campus to exchange research and professional ideas.
Mary Ellen, also involved in theater, was a member of the Early Childhood Education faculty at The Music School of Delaware. Glenn and Mary Ellen have raised two children, Jeanmarie and Jamey, and enjoy watching the young and dynamic lives of two grandchildren, Ellie and Benjamin.
Joseph F. Rilatt ’91, P’24 and Susan M. Partilla Rilatt ’90, P’24
Joe Rilatt, Vice Chair of the LVC Board of Trustees, and Sue Rilatt’s LVC and life connections began when they were outstanding student-athletes as undergraduates. Joe competed in Track & Field and Basketball, including two years under coach Pat Flannery helping to reestablish a winning tradition for men’s basketball. Sue, a three-sport athlete—Basketball, Field Hockey, and Track and Field—was a two-time Division III, National All-American who was inducted into the LVC Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in Economics, Joe joined Fulton Bank as a Management Trainee. He has served in various roles of increasing responsibility, most recently being named Market President for Central PA in 2024. He earned an MBA from St. Joseph’s University in 1995 and received an LVC Alumni Citation in 2018.
Sue, after earning her bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management with a concentration in Accounting, worked as an accountant for Good’s Furniture and Breuner’s Home Furnishings Corporation. Their daughter Sara graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 2022, where she played field hockey and double majored in Math and Economics. She is a high school math teacher in Ohio. Their son Adam ’24 enjoyed participating in the Chorus, Jazz Band, and Low Brass Ensemble while double majoring in Math and Computer & Data Science. He is a software engineer in King of Prussia.
The couple established The Rilatt Family Endowed Scholarship to support a sophomore, junior, or senior experiencing unexpected financial hardship and have supported The Valley Fund and LVC Emergency Scholarship Fund.
Kimberly E. Ritrievi and Darren V. Tilden
Dr. Ritrievi, President of The Ritrievi Group LLC, and Darryn Tilden were inspired to support LVC in tribute to her parents, Dr. Gail G. Edgar Ritrievi ’54, and the late Frank A. Ritrievi ’54, lifelong educators. After being part of four of the College’s athletic squads, Frank became a teacher, coach, athletic director, and principal. Gail, Student Government President her senior year, played Basketball and Field Hockey and taught in the Cumberland Valley and Neshaminy school districts.
Dr. Kimberly Ritrievi embraced her parents’ love of education, earning a bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and a master’s (Management) and doctorate (Chemical Engineering) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is and has been on various boards and advisory councils at Princeton University, MIT, Harvard University, and the Wellesley Centers for Women, and serves on two public company boards, including Mativ, as Board Chair, and Tetra Tech.
Starting at ARCO Chemical in 1985, she moved to working with chemical companies from Wall Street and became a well-recognized industry equity analyst. In 2001, Dr. Ritrievi was named the Co-head of Investment Research for U.S., Canada, Latin & South America at Goldman Sachs, retiring in 2004. She launched The Ritrievi Group LLC in 2005.
Dr. Ritrievi, Mr. Tilden, and her siblings recognized her parents through supporting the construction of a team meeting space in the Louis A. Sorrentino ’54 Gymnasium, which was named in their honor. They are also significant contributors to The Frank A. Ritrievi ’54 and Gail E. Ritrievi ’54 Scholarship Fund, established in 2005 to support an Education major who demonstrates academic excellence and financial need.
John J. Wagner ’77 and Jeaninne M. Alvino Wagner ’79
John Wagner and Jeaninne Alvino Wagner met at LVC while pursuing undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Nursing, respectively. He played Baseball (Captain) and Football and was a Phi Lambda Sigma member. She was a Cheerleader and a member of the White Hats.
Jeaninne was an RN Staff Nurse at Chestnut Hill Hospital and then Blatt, Gross & Crispino OBGYN until she began a long volunteer career. While living in Bethlehem, she volunteered with Hospice, and after moving to Durham, N.C., in 2006, she volunteered at the Duke Ronald McDonald House and local Red Cross chapter where she was a board member. Stricken with a rare incurable neurological disease, Multiple System Atrophy, in 2014, she turned to raising awareness of the disease and helping raise funds for research.
John taught Math at Cardinal Dougherty & Archbishop Ryan high schools in Philadelphia for four years and coached football at Lansdale Catholic High School and baseball at Spring Garden College. He then pursued a successful 30+-year career with the Merck Manufacturing Division, numerous U.S. and international leadership positions, and ultimately as Plant Manager overseeing the design, construction, start-up, and licensing of a new live virus vaccine manufacturing facility in Durham. He launched Wagner Consulting in 2014 and served as the Program Manager for the BioManufactering Forum as part of NCBIO, N.C.’s Life Sciences industry trade organization. He retired from that role in 2023.
The couple has tremendously supported their mutual alma mater by being major donors to the new Nursing Education Facility and LVC Baseball. The family has a garden outside the Jeanne and Edward H. Arnold Health Professions Pavilion and recently established the Jeaninne M. Wagner Annual Scholarship in Nursing in 2023, which supports first-year majors.
