LVC Guiding Principles for Inclusive Excellence

Purpose

The Inclusive Excellence Division facilitates a campus-wide inclusive environment that values, embraces, and celebrates our individual differences in our community. Through collaboration and education, we foster belonging, and a student-centered, empowered community committed to equal opportunity.

As Members of Lebanon Valley College:

We commit to Inclusion, Civility, Justice, and Equality, – knowing that these values form an inclusive community that is a source of safety, creativity, and resilience that is the foundation of success.

We celebrate what makes us unique, – honoring our shared humanity and recognizing that our differences enrich our perspectives and strengthen our community.

We seek to understand one another, – cultivating relationships that inspire innovation, compassion, empathy, and trust.

We embrace cultural humility and inclusivity, – learning from the wide-ranging stories, perspectives, and lived experiences within our community that deepen our empathy.

We empower and uplift each other, – ensuring everyone feels a sense of belonging that fosters sustainable growth and achievement.

We commit to showing up as our authentic selves, – creating a space where everyone can thrive, be seen, be respected, and valued for who they are.
