Coordinator for the Center for Academic Success & Exploration
The Lebanon Valley College Center for Academic Success & Exploration seeks a coordinator for the center for academic success & exploration. The coordinator provides administrative support for the Center and assists the Office of Academic Affairs with specific projects as needed.? Responsibilities also include supporting all aspects of the tutoring program, some Academic Affairs events, organizing retention-related events in support of the Dutchmen First programs, and assisting with New Student Advising. Reporting to the Director of Academic Success, the coordinator plays a pivotal role in a busy and dynamic office with high student traffic. The successful candidate will handle sensitive and confidential information and have a customer centric approach with students, faculty, and peers. Qualifications include a high school diploma, or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience preferred, be self-motivated with a strong attention to detail, and the proven ability to take initiative and work independently as well as work with a team. This full-time position works 37.5 hours per week during the academic year (August 1st through May 31st) and 15 hours per week during the summer (June 1st– July 31st) with an hourly rate of $16.48. Area Coordinator
The Lebanon Valley College Department of Residential Life seeks an area coordinator. The area coordinator is a full-time, 12-month, live-in professional who oversees approximately 400-500 students in residential facilities, supervises and advises 15-20 student staff, and participates in student behavioral problem intervention. The area coordinator provides on-call coverage, facilitates residence hall programming, creates and develops programs, assists in the resident assistant recruitment and selection process, assists with the training and evaluation of resident assistants, and has opportunities for participation in other areas of Residential Life and Student Affairs. This appointment includes a semi-furnished apartment as well as a meal plan while the College is in session. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in student personnel, counseling, or a related field, (master’s is degree preferred), live-in experience and prior experience in Residential Life preferred, excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, strong supervisory, organizational, leadership, and relationship skills, and the ability to work varied hours including evenings and weekends. Operations Assistant for the LVC Sports Center
The Lebanon Valley College Sports Center seeks an operations assistant for the LVC Sports Center. The operations assistant is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the LVC Sports Center facility, including preventative maintenance on pool equipment, fitness room, sports performance center, arena floor, and racquetball courts, etc. This is a 40 hour week position with varied hours that include some hours in the evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Hourly rate is $16.48. The Lebanon Valley College Department of Athletics seeks a full-time assistant men’s soccer coach. The full-time assistant men’s soccer coach works 10 months annually to be determined by the head coach and the sport season. Primary responsibilities are to provide individual and team instruction, skill development and technique, conditioning, and game preparation for team members; assist in identifying and recruiting qualified student-athletes and assume a secondary assignment within the Athletic Department. The assistant coach is also expected to demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship and conduct becoming of the coaching profession, stay abreast of any rule changes relative to their sport, and to adhere to all rules, regulations and policies of the NCAA and MAC Freedom Conference. Qualifications include a bachelor’s or advanced degree, successful coaching experience (preferable at the collegiate level) and collegiate playing experience. Mailroom and Copy Center Technician (Part-time)
The Business Office at Lebanon Valley College seeks a part-time mailroom and copy center technician. The mailroom and copy center technician is responsible for mail and package processing, copying and printing, and providing legendary service to all campus constituents according to the College’s ASPIRE standards. This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week, 1040 hours annually. The mailroom operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent oral and written communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and pivot when needed. This position also requires substantial movement (motion) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers repetitively and the ability to frequently lift mail trays weighing up to 40-50 lbs. Hourly rate is $15.97 per hour ($16,608.80 annually). Buildings Maintenance Technician (Plumber)
The Office of Facilities Services seeks a buildings maintenance technician (plumber). The buildings maintenance technician (Plumber) is responsible for the repair and maintenance of equipment including specialty items pertaining to the trade. The technician also cross-functions in the areas of HVAC and electrical maintenance and assists with special event requests and other trades when time permits. Essential functions include the repair and maintenance of equipment, main service lines (gas, water, sewer, and steam), fixtures, sinks, water closets, etc., as well as domestic hot water generating equipment, peripheral devices and piping the repair and maintenance of comfort heating equipment. This position requires tolerance for wet, humid, high heat and cold conditions. Work environment is both indoors and outdoors. Excellent physical condition is required due to prolonged walking, stooping, bending and kneeling. Must be able to climb and work from step ladders of various heights. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Qualifications include an associate’s degree or equivalent from a technical school preferred and 3-6 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Journeyman preferred). All facilities services maintenance staff are deemed essential personnel. Some occasional weekend / holiday availability is required, including a required on-call rotation. Nursing Skills Lab Assistant
The Lebanon Valley College Department of Nursing seeks a part-time, nursing skills lab assistant. The nursing skills lab assistant ensures a smooth operation of the nursing skills lab directly contributing to the success of Lebanon Valley College nursing students. The lab assistant will prepare and maintain the skills lab for student learning activities, including setting up manikins, task trainers, and other equipment while assisting faculty with demonstrations and skill development sessions. ?The lab assistant works approximately 20 hours per week, from August 1st through May 31st, 10 months annually. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in nursing; a valid RN license; 2-3 years of recent clinical nursing experience; and prior experience teaching in a nursing skills lab or clinical setting is preferred. Campus Safety Officer (Part-time)
Lebanon Valley College has an opening for part-time campus safety officers. The part-time hourly rate is $15.00 per hour.? Primary duties include campus safety patrol, building security, safety checks, parking enforcement, and crowd / vehicle control. The position does not have a set number of guaranteed hours, hours are based on the need of the department. Candidate must have some availability for all three shifts (day, evening and night) and weekends and holidays. Lebanon Valley College’s Department of Facilities Services has openings for housekeepers. The full-time hourly rate is $15.45 per hour and includes 9 paid holidays, 3 weeks’ vacation, plus the week between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, 10 sick days, 100% college undergraduate tuition benefits for the employee and their dependents, and a 9% retirement contribution if the employee contributes 5% of their gross base salary. Housekeepers at the College maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition and use a variety of equipment to maintain the proper quality of cleanliness. This position requires standing, bending, stretching, stooping, lifting, extensive walking, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis, and the ability to climb a step ladder. Candidates must be dependable, reliable and able to work in a high energy, team-oriented environment.
